A national do-not-call list for telemarketers is a good thing. Especially the $11,000 fine for firms who ignore it.

Indiana implemented that law last year. It has been wonderful. We used to get 5-7 unsolicited phone calls a day. Imagine that with the scores of phone calls for a preacher who makes house calls… endless ringing. Oy!

I don’t have to imagine very hard, you know. But it’s nice to know that such a system is effective.
