Okay, folks. Movable Type is now ready and working. Unfortunately I’m using SQL_Lite instead of MySQL, because I didn’t feel like creating a database and all. Maybe I’ll change it later, maybe I’ll decide it’s too much trouble. If someone could convince me of the need, I might feel more motivated.
The old site look will be back up soon, since:
- I’m too much about design to let the default template stay for long.
- I can mostly copy and paste.
I need to do a redesign, though. Maybe I’ll even do a bunch of them and rip off paulo’s randomizing layout idea. Hope he doesn’t get mad. Hope he’ll comment and say “Go for it”.
Hope I can get up tomorrow morning.

Excellent work on the install. I think my problems stemmed from using MySQL without really knowing what I was doing (I just moved to a new host, on a cPanel server as opposed to Linux), as well as trying to install on only four hours of sleep.
At any rate, I’m glad it’s installed. Definately not touching anything except for basic plugins for a long, long time.

I haven’t even begun to explore the plugin landscape. I was just happy I could get everything exported from my custom system.
