The Last Battle

I listened to the first CD of The Last Battle as I drove up to work this morning. So far, it’s been the best one experience-wise. I was right there with Tirian as called out for the children from beyond the world’s end to come and help him. I (don’t laugh) got all teary when Jill and Eustace appeared and immediately began to try to set things to rights. It felt like I was coming back to Narnia, and that I shared the children’s history there, even as the true, full history of Narnia came to a close.

Sigh. I’m such a dork.

I agree, you are not a dork! Ashley got me the 7 books for my birthday and I am on book 3. I only get a chance to read while soaking in a bath or getting ready to sleep, so that is why I’m only on book 3. I’d only ever read a few books and I’m anxious to move on to “Price Caspian.” :)

Price Caspian is the new commercial sell-out edition.

I should point out, also, that I am listening to the dramatized editions of the Chronicles … not mere audiobooks. So much more than audiobooks.

Nah, you’re not a dork, Daniel. That’s perfectly normal for anyone who enjoys these types of things (I get that way, but then again, I’m female, but you get what I mean).

Oh, and one of my friends had a cat and I got to help name him. He was orange and fluffy and we named him Prince Caspian. g
