Greencracker saves the day … and more

Saturday, I really, really needed to get to Newport, PA by 9:30am to (among other things) play keyboard at the Bread of Life Outreach service at Newport Assembly’s Family Life Center. I was about to pack up my keyboard late Friday night when I remembered that my car still hadn’t been jump-started. So I frantically checked AIM to see if there was anyone still up that lived nearby. Only one was Greencracker, a local blogger (and G5 user!) whom I had never met before. But he came and helped me try to jump-start the car early Saturday morning, and when that failed, let me hitch a ride up to Newport, since he was headed to New Bloomfield anyway.

I think the results of his help will have far-reaching implications. More on that later. Cool guy, though. Need to return the favor somehow, sometime.
