I set my alarm for 4:00am this morning so I could follow along with Phil Schiller’s Apple Expo keynote. Pretty disappointing, Phil. Steve already covered most of that a month and a half ago.
You could have saved yourself, though, by waiting till the end and announcing a cool new iMac or something. But you didn’t. You announced the new powerSupplyMac G5. Granted, it’s cheaper than the old one. But it doesn’t have the unique visual style to set it apart from, say, a Vaio V.
The new powerSupplyMac … “We give you a smaller cord at the expense of having a really big empty space on the front of the machine.”
After further thought, however, the design does evoke the look of the original 128K Mac. A return to the Apple tree’s roots, as it were. But I still think it could be better.

I agree! I didn’t get your comment about ‘powerSupplyMac’ at first, but now I do (iMac w/ integrated power supply = ugly). Of course, Sam was completely brainwashed by Phil and thinks it’s the best thing since, well, everything Apple designs Sam thinks is cool.
